Children and Church means more than Sunday school at Convenant; it means children’s ministry.
All ministry events, such as Vacation Bibile School and Summer SONdays, are designed to help draw children into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to help them grow spiritually in that relationship.
We are committed to teaching and living purposefully as instructed in the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
Our children’s ministry exists to:
- Ignite a desire within the children of our community to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior
- Spark an awareness of Christ’s love for His people and the people of the world
- Create a blaze of interest in the purpose and meaning of Jesus’ life on earth, his death on the cross and the good news of his resurrection.
- Develop an internal flame of peace that comes from living a life that practices a life of faith, worship, prayer and sacraments.
Fuse the relevancy of the Bible and Jesus’ life to the children’s everyday lives and relationships. |
